Returns Policy: Reconditioned Items
Here at The Port Circuit, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. We understand that circumstances change, which is why we offer a straightforward returns process for our reconditioned devices.
- Return Window & Eligibility
- 14-Day Guarantee: Items can be returned within 14 days of the original purchase date.
- Physical Condition: To qualify for a refund, the device must be in the exact same physical state as it was when sold, at worst case if there is damage we may not accept the return, at best, we will accept it at a reduced refund value.
- Complete Units: All returns must include the original charger and any accessories provided at the time of sale, any missing items will affect the amount refunded.
- Restocking Fee & Data Security
All returned reconditioned items are subject to a £39 restocking fee.
We take data privacy and system integrity very seriously. This fee covers the 4 hours of technical bench time required to prepare the unit for its next user, which includes:
- 3-Pass Security Erasure: A mandatory, high-level data wipe to ensure that any information or footprints from your period of ownership are permanently and securely removed from the system.
- System Reprogramming: A complete reinstall and configuration of the operating system to restore the unit to its original “as-sold” condition.
- Certificate of Erasure
Your privacy is our priority. As part of the return process, we will request your name, address, and email. Once the process has completed, we will issue you a Full Certificate of Erasure. This document serves as your official proof that the device is 100% data-safe and your privacy has been protected.
- How to Initiate a Return
To start a return, please Pop in and visit us or contact us via Facebook or telephone (0151-346-8911). Once the device is inspected and the restocking fee is processed, your refund will be issued via the original payment method.
- Professional Conduct & Statutory Rights
Zero-Tolerance Policy We are committed to providing a safe and respectful environment for our staff. We operate a zero-tolerance policy regarding any form of abuse. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Shouting or aggressive language.
- Threatening behaviour or physical aggression.
- Harassment via social media or electronic communication.
Aggressive behaviour of any kind will result in the immediate withdrawal of our services. This includes the cancellation of any voluntary return or refund agreements currently in progress. If abuse continues, we will not hesitate to involve the police and/or pursue legal action to protect our team and business.
Our Legal Standing & Warranty
- Change of Mind: Please be aware that under UK consumer law, businesses are not legally required to provide refunds or returns for reconditioned items simply because a customer has changed their mind or no longer needs the item.
- Voluntary Returns: Any return we accept for a non-faulty item is a gesture of goodwill and is offered entirely at our discretion, subject to our restocking and security protocols.
- Warranty: All our devices are covered by a hardware warranty. In the event of a technical fault, we maintain the right to Repair, Replace, or Refund the item at our discretion.
